4 Wheel Drive Cars From Audi

If you do a lot of driving in slippery weather conditions it can be super helpful to have a car with a good all wheel drive system. The good news for you if you are shopping for a new vehicle is that the all wheel drive car market is much more saturated with higher quality models that was the case in years past.

Today you can choose from more than a few models from a couple different automakers. Of course along with more choices comes the paradox of choice which says that more choices actually make it harder to select and option and easier to be unsatisfied with the option you do decide on.

If you are a car enthusiast it doesn’t seem like you are likely to experience that though. Typically automotive buffs have their favorite models and brands which they stick with. Maybe your favorite brand is Audi or maybe it is BMW. Perhaps you prefer Japanese companies like Acura.

When it comes to buying 4 wheel drive cars these days it really doesn’t matter which brand you choose since you will find a capable vehicle from most of the automakers. If you want a German car you have the option of choosing an Audi A4 or perhaps an A8. BMW now features their xDrive AWD system on a number of vehicles and even offers a set of AWD coupes in the 3 series lineup.

If you go with an Acura you’ll get one of the top of the line AWD systems out there since Acura’s SH-AWD system has only recently received some competition from Audi and Saab. In time we’ll see whose system works the best overall but right now Acura still features one of the most advanced AWD systems and equips several of it’s models with the traction system.

Even if you don’t live in a region that receives much snow an all wheel drive system like SH-AWD (like what you’ll find in the Acura TL AWD) that has the ability to shift power from one side of the car to another can be a major asset when it comes to vehicle handling on curvy roads. Because the car doesn’t have to fight it’s own weight and power through the corners you end up with a better handling vehicle and a smoother ride.
