6 of the Best 7 Passenger Vehicles On the Market
You just can not find a old station wagon any more. Sure, companies like Volvo or Toyota have these vehicles that look like a wagon from the old days, but they are not really the same. Those things were useful. Especially that 3rd row way in the back of the cars.
Then came the SUV and the Minivan and it pretty much made the wagon flat-out go away. Even the cool features like the duel action tailgate that flipped down like a pickup truck and swung open to the side, went away until the Honda Ridgeline truck re-introduced that feature in 2006.
This is not necessarily a bad thing. These SUV’s look pretty cool, are high off the ground, and people feel safe in them. Minivans, though they sometimes have a bit of a stigma, are about as useful a vehicle that has ever been made. The amount of people matched with the massive cargo space and seating options make them like no other vehicle that has ever been made.
Both of these will carry at least 7 passengers. Here are 6 of the most popular.
SUV’s — The larger SUV became hugely popular in the 1990′s. Gas was cheap, the economy was good and everybody wanted and SUV. Though things have changed over the last few years with the sky-high gas prices and the economy in the tank, many people still have the need for them. Most of them can get in around 20 MPG city/highway combined, which is not terribly awful.
Chevy Traverse — This 7 passenger vehicle, not quite as big as the Honda Pilot, gets high marks. Its V-6 is powerful and very fuel efficient.
2010 Honda Pilot — The Pilot comes in both a 2WD and a 4WD version. Both have a system called Variable Cylinder Management which allows the the engine to run on 6, 4, and even 3 cylinders depending how you are driving. This system alloews you to get better gas mileage.
Highlander by Toyota — The Highlander seats 7 and comes with a 4 and 6 cylinder option. You can also get yourself a hybrid version of the Highlander, but with a cost. It will get you 5-6 miles per gallon than a non-hybrid version, but will set you back about $7000 more.
Minivans — If you can get past the stigma, Minivan’s are as about as useful a vehicle that you can purchase. They flat-out drive like a car and have an unbelievable amount of space. Don’t laugh at them, they are incredibly useful and are looking cooler and cooler every year.
Honda Odyssey — Again, ranked in the Top 3 since in came out. With its full captain’s chairs in the 2nd row, comfort and fuel efficiency are great benefits of the Odyssey. Look for a redesign of this great vehicle in 2011.
2010 Chrysler Town and Country — Usually considered one of the top 3 Minivans out there, the Town and Country has been around for awhile. With its stow-and-go seats, it is definitely unique.
Toyota Sienna — Toyota’s 7 passenger vehicle is the only Minivan right now to offer cialis maximum effect a AWD option.
Although everybody seems to looking for fuel efficiency these days, people do need the space for 7 or 8 passengers. The vehicles above are definitely some of the best and should help get you started in your search.
Check out the cars/trucks above. It will be a good start for you.
