Don’t Learn When It Doesn’t Cool!
So, I had to learn the difference between a faulty Nissan what is cialis ac compressor and one that simply requires the maintenance that I have not provided – understand, the lack of attention wasn’t from anything but ignorance…maybe I can help you if you get into a similar situation.
It isn’t necessarily a faulty compressor that causes your ac to stop cooling for you. My Nissan compressor was in great mechanical shape. The symptoms were (as I learned) pretty common. Well, truth is that I never cared enough to learn about it. The car was loud, (I should say the ‘ac compressor’ was loud) every time I turned on the ac. We live where the compressor was going to be noisy, and often!
Your first thought when that sort of thing happens always drifts to price. I have always heard that Nissan ac parts were expensive, so I was more than a little nervous about it all. The deciding factor in my bringing the car in was that it simply stopped cooling altogether. I was in a situation where I wan’t going to have AC during a hot Georgia summer…well, no way. So, I brought it to the mechanic and got ready to clench my teeth.
After looking at my car for 10 minutes, he came out and asked me if I knew how much a new Nissan compressor cost. Of course, the answer was ‘no’ – but I knew I was gonna find out quick anyway. So, when you buy a compressor at a dealership, it’s gonna be at least $600 PLUS the labor…I nearly fell out. “But” he said, you could go to a good online retailer and save nearly 50% (that was closer to reality, I thought). Fact is, I didn’t need either…lucky this time.
If your ac compressor starts making noise, get it checked out right away. It’s possible that your issue is something as simple as compressor oil…cheap to fix if you do it right away. If you wait, the lack of oil will cause the whole compressor to fail, which means real money. I needed freon added to mine, nothing more…usually your car will tell you when it needs attention, pay attention to the details.
I did some research for you, just in case you do need a compressor. Good customer service and great prices. These folks are great!
